Consultation and acquisition

So after meeting with my go to source I had some direction as to where to go for resources and learned a bit more about my instrument.

The person who shall remain nameless to protect her innocence actually brought her Ukelele to show me.

Very nice and out of my price range.

So my journey took me to Long and McQuade on the weekend.  There were many choices.  Again most were out of my price range or my ability range for right now.

I will share what I ended up buying on my next post. Try to guess which one I bought.  It is one of the models hanging in this impressive list.

BACKGROUND RESEARCH

So I went to my main source of ukelele information on Friday. One of my cooperating teachers is a player of said stringed instrument and I wanted to see where she goes for info.  She directed me towards a number of great chord websites.  Also we discussed the purchase of an upgrade to my 40 year old axe.  It looks like the $20 model from St Johns Music will not cut it.  If I am in for reals I am looking to spend about $80 but it could be even higher.  Oh well after payday this weekend I will show off my purchase and hopefully learn to tune it.

Step one of the musical adventure.

Here is where I begin my musical journey.  The instrument that is inspiring me is my old Ukelele.  I was given it when I was 4 and wanted to be Johnny Cash.  Oh well maybe I can still realize my dream some day.

It will start with the purchase of a new instrument on the weekend.
